Abstract
PURPOSE:To weld the titled steel pipe and prevent the occurrence of sulfide stress corrosion cracking in the welded part, by tempering the beads and the parts affected by heat at a temperature within a specific range in the course of multipass laminated welding. CONSTITUTION:In the course of the multipass laminated welding, the temper treatment is carried out at a temperature within the range of 500 deg. to AC1 point to attempt the reduction of hardness and the removal of residual stress in the welded part inside the pipe. For the temper treatment, the pipe is heated with an electric heater, gas heating or induction heating. In consideration of the plate thickness condition of the pipe, the heating is carried out once or more times.
