Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the thermal efficiency of the captioned hot water feeder by a method wherein a plurality of heat exchangers having a common inlet pipe are provided under a hot water storage tank so that the temperatures of hot water at the inlets of the heat exchangers are kept low. CONSTITUTION:An inlet header 5 communicating with the hot water storage tank 11 through the inlet pipe 13 is provided under the tank 11 and one end of each of fin pipes 2 and 7 is connected to the inlet header 5 while the upper ends of the fin pipes are connected to outlet headers 4 and 9, respectively, to thereby constitute a primary heat exchanger 1 and a secondary heat exchanger 6. Further, vertical outlet pipes 10 and 14 are connected to the outlet headers 4 and 9, respectively, in such a manner that the pipes 10 and 14 extend upwardly into the tank 11 and open in the tank at a level higher than the inlet pipe 13. The fin pipes 2 and 7 are made to incline upward toward the outlet headers 4 and 9, respectively, with the angle of inclination of the fin pipe 7 being greater than that of the fin pipe 2. The primary heat exchanger 1 is arranged within a combustion section 29 while the secondary heat exchanger 6 is arranged within a smoke duct having a dew water exhaust port 28.
