Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a molded article having improved physical and electrical characteristics, particularly improved breakdown voltage, with a good extrudability and processability, by using a raw material polyethylene having a specific density and crystal thickness.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material polyethylene having a density ≥0.925g/cm3, preferably ≥0.927g/cm3, a crystal thickness lc≥90Å, preferably ≤110Å, a molecular weight distribution index ≤8, measured by the gel permeation chromatography and a melt flow rate of 0.3W4g/10mm is incorporated with a chemical crosslinking agent, etc.
USE: Suitable to a power cable for high-voltage insulation.
