Abstract

PURPOSE:To input character information efficiently from a hand-written original including KANJI(Chinese character), by inputting HIRAGANA(cursive Japanese syllabary character) corresponding to the first two of characters obtained by reading KANJI phoneticcaly to obtain a character group including the specified KANJI and by discriminating a desired character from this group.
