Abstract

PURPOSE:To assure positive and perfect plug formation during the plug-conveyance of flour material with low speed and high density, by providing a U-type trap at the middle of the horizontal portion of the conveyor pipe and utilizing the plug forming effect due to the weight of the flour material itself. CONSTITUTION:A U tube 14 of designated downward length is formed at a position close to the fluidized tank 5 of the horizontal portion of a conveyor pipe 6. The flour material enters from the fluidized tank into the U tube 14. The fluor material stops at the middle of coming-up tube 16 where the weight of the fluor material itself acts against the propulsive force of the high pressure air, and the flour material forms a blockade or a plug 17. Then, the plug 17 is forced by the high pressure air to move from the coming-up tube 16 up to the horizontal portion, followed by an air cushion 18 full of high pressure air.
