Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable minute coating on an object to be coated in coating continuously carried objects by a command stored in a coating robot and detecting multidimensional position of the object and making corrective coating.
CONSTITUTION: A coating robot 5 is positioned near a carrying passage of objects to be coated such as vehicle bodies 1, which are carried continuously by a truck 3. The robot is connected to a control circuit 7 through an output wire 9 and thereby obtains driving signals. Command signals are stored in the control circuit 7 to make coating control to specified position of the vehicle bodies 1. A position detecting device 10 is installed to detect multi-dimensional position of the vehicle bodies individually, and to make coating control of the robot 5 to be coated minutely. The positional signals sent from a position detecting plate 11 fixed to the vehicle 1 are sent to the control circuit 7 and deviation from stored signals are controlled and corrected to enable accurate coating.
