Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve accurate registration by making perfect corrections even when the extent of a shift in scanning position on a picture screen is not even, by freely setting the delay amount of a video signal according to the scanning position on the screen. CONSTITUTION:Video signals from image pickup tubes 1A and 1B of a TV camera are amplified by video signal amplifiers 4A and 4B and supplied to variable delay devices 8A and 8B. Deflection scans on those image pickup tubes 1A and 1B are performd by controlling deflecting coils 3A and 3B by the outputs of deflection- wave generators 4A and 4B, and delay devices 8A and 8B are controlled by address signals set in memories 9A and 9B synchronizing with the deflection scans. The delay amounts of the video signals are set in the memories 9A and 9B corresponding to scanning positions on a screen, and positions of pictures synthesized by a video- signal output amplifier 7 and displayed on the image pickup tubes 1A and 1B are corrected by the set values in the memories 9A and 9B, thus making registration accurate when shifts on the picture screen are not even.
