Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively burn chaff by a method in which chaff is dropped into an incinerator utilizing a double enclosed cylinder from the upper hopper and burned while blowing a high-temperature air into the incinerator from an air chamber outside the incinerator.
CONSTITUTION: Chaff in a hopper 36 is dropped into a double enclosed furnace 2 from a funnelled cylinder 26 and burned, whereupon each compressor 33 attached to the upper part of a support frame 27 is operated to supply low-pressure air from a high-pressure hose 34 into the lower part of four air chambers 1a-1d provided on the periphery of the furnace 2 to increase the pressure of each of the chambers 1aW1d. And, the air is jetted radially toward the space between a heat insulating bodies 16 and a rostor 14 inside a heat-insulating cylinder 12 from a Venturi tube 9 provided at the upper part of the chambers 1aW1d. At the same time, flame from the burner is jetted from an ignition cylinder 19 to heat the heat insulating bodies 16 and the heat-insulating cylinder 12 to red heat and chaff dropped through the aperture of the rostor 14 onto the heat insulating bodies 16 is burned.
