Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an accidental direction change of a rear wheel by providing a rear wheel securing device which secures the rear wheel in the straight running direction only when an interconnecting mechanism connecting a steering device and the rear wheel is in the interrupted condition. CONSTITUTION:A interconnecting mechanism 14 which selects the first condition to steer the mobile equipment by changing only the direction of the rear wheel and the second condition to steer the equipment by changing the direction of both the front and the rear wheel is provided, a clutch 24 spline connected to a rotating shaft 22 being provided on said interconnecting mechanism 14. A protrusion 26b which is engageabke to an indent 26b formed on a fixing frame also acting as a casing when the cluch 24 moves to the direction leaving a pivotting link 16 is formed on the clutch 24. Thus the indent 26a and the protrusion running and the interconnecting mechanism 14 is in the interrupt condition thereby securing the rear wheel in the straight running condition.
