Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the output/noise ratio, by using a single crystal Mn-Zn ferrite at the tip part of a composite magnetic head, selecting the crystalline azimuth so as to obtain the maximum output property and then adhering a magnetic material having a reduced level of rubbing noise at the rear magnetic circuit part. CONSTITUTION:Front magnetic circuit component parts 62 and 62' of a magnetic head are composed of e.g. two pieces of single ctystal Mn-Zn ferrite that oppose to each other via a working gap 64. The (110) face of at least one of the two pieces of the Mn-Zn ferrite is set substantially parallel to the surface on which a magnetic pole path is formed, and at the same time an angle of 15-40 deg. or 95-120 deg. is obtained for the angle theta formed by the <100> direction existing within the (110) face and the surface on which the gap 64 is formed. On the other hand, rear magnetic circuit parts 61 and 61' form a composite magnetic head containing the adhesion of a polycrystal Mn-Zn. The glass having the contraction factor lower than the single crystal Mn-Zn ferrite in case when the glass sticking temperature is reduced down to the room temperature is melted and stuck to the single crystal Mn-Zn ferrite surface near the side surface of the gap 64. Thus a composite magnetic head is obtained.
