Abstract

The glass is composed of a first plate made from transparent mineral material (1) and of a second plate made from mineral material (2) having a cut out defining, with the first plate (1), a cavity (3) capable of receiving an extra-flat clockwork movement and its time- display means. The two plates are metallised and welded. The area of the join may be coated with a layer of titanium nitride, possibly containing titanium carbide, or another composition intended to conceal the weld and to create an original appearance. <IMAGE>
