Abstract
PURPOSE:To control exposure time when density on an X-ray film has a proper level, by optically converting X rays, incident to a light-electron multiplier phototube after pentrating an object, by the multiplier phototube during photographic operation and by converting a light output into an electric signal. CONSTITUTION:Between an amplifier 7 and an integrator 8, an II (light-electron multiplier phototube) lighting field switching corrector 14 which exercises bias control over an II controller 4 according to the output of the amplifier 7 is provided. Then, X rays after being transmitted through an object 2 enters an II3, which performs optical conversion. An optical image is inputted to a photomultiplier 6 via a prism 5 to be converted into an electric signal, which is amplified by the amplifier and then the corrector 14 corrects the signal level, thereby integrating the resulting signal by the integrator 8. Its integral value is compared with the reference voltage of a density setter by a comparator 10, which when the both are equal, stops X-ray exposure. Consequently, X-ray film density is controlled depending upon reference density 9.
