EXAMPLE: The compound of formula II.
USE: A pigment.
PROCESS: An isoindoline compound of formula III (A is O or NCONHR), e.g. the compound of formula IV, is condensed in the presence of a condensing (accelerating) agent, e.g. pyridine or triethylamine, at 150°C or above, preferably 170°C or above, to give the compound of formula I.
