Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to precipitate, separate as well as to collect a solute or a fine particle in an aqueous suspension more rapidly by providing a precipitation promoting apparatus having a horizontal and a vertical partition plates and a specific guide plate between opposed side plates of an axial direction to a lower part in a horizontally rotating drum in a static condition.
CONSTITUTION: When raw water is supplied into a rotary drum 1 from a hose H and an introducing pipe 15, it is impinged to a guide slate 23 to weaken the force of water and, thereafter, downwardly flowed into a passage 24 between guide plates 22, 23. Subsequently said raw water is passed a notch 22a to be flowed to a lefthand direction in a figure and, thereafter, a part thereof is raised between the plate 22 and a horizontal partition plate and passed an upper flange of the plate 18 to be flooded to a direction of a durm axial direction X. In this process, becouse gravity and a flowing direction are different, a solid component in the raw water is precipitated and separated. On the other hand, a flow along the line X passing a notch 18a is present but the above described similar action is repeated between plates 18 and said flow is almost in the vicinity of a water discharge pore 4 and only a flooding stream passing an upper flange of the plate 18 is present. Said flooding stream is guided in parallel with the line X by a vertical partition plate 25 and an raw water sump between the plates 18 is kept statically and a floated substance in the raw water is efficiently precipitated.
