Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable accurate measurement of a neutron concentration even at a high-temperature, by a method wherein an intermediate conductor is placed so that a leak current in a guide cable is caused not to pass an ammeter, and a driving cable, which moves an ionization chamber to an arbitrary position, is mounted. CONSTITUTION:In order to insert an ionization chamber 31 into a nuclear chamber, with a driving wheel 50 turned, and through the friction force between a toroidal recess 51 and a spring 49, a driving cable 46, a guide cable 32, and the ionization chamber 31 is caused to move into the reactor as a moving distance is confirmed, and if it reaches a distance to a neutron flux measuring position, the turning of the driving wheel is suspended. A switch for a measurement circuit is then turned ON to start a measurement. A leak current in the guide cable 32 stops flowing to an ammeter 40 by means of an intermediate conductor 43, and the reading of the ammeter 40 indicates the concentration of a neutron flux.
