Abstract
PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a power source by reducing the loss of electric power by storing the reflected light of luminous flux emitted toward an object and by starting the focusing operation of a focusing lens after the storage. CONSTITUTION:A scanning terminal 19 is fitted to a toothed rack engaging with a pinion 13a provided to a lever 13, and this toothed rack 32 is driven by a motor through a gear 36. One of photodetectors detectes a light beam and after this detection is stored in a storing circuit 20 instantaneously, a control switch 24 is closed to connect the motor to a power soirce. Consequently, when the motor drives the gear 36 to turn, the toothed rack 32 also turns clockwise and while the scanning terminal 19 slides on contacts T1-Tn successively, the focus lever 12 is so operated that a photographic lens 2 comes out. When the scanning terminal 19 selects the photodetector receiving the reflected light, the motor is stopped to complete the focusing of the photographic lens 2.
