Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure the positional error correction of an article with a simple mechanism when the article descended by a material conveying unit is stored within a predetermined region in an automated warehouse or the like, by correcting a positional error of the article led by guides while the article is received on rollers.
CONSTITUTION: When a pallet 13 carrying thereon an article 14 to be handled is stored in a temporary deposit station 4, a telescopic fork 15 of a stacker crane is first extended, and then the pallet 13 carried on the fork 15 is introduced into the station 4. Upon the lowering of the fork 15 the pallet 13 abuts for example, at its, right end to a guide surface 7b, and then rides at its rear left end surface on rollers 11a, 11d as shown by two-dotted line. The right end of the pallet 13 slides down along the guide surface 7b while the fork 15 is further lowered, thereby the pallet 13 is gradually moved, rightward. Finally, the rear right end surface of the pallet 13 is carried on roller 11b, 11c, resulting in that both centers B, C of the station 14 and the pallet 13 is aligned together so as to correct a positional error.
