Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct a stack of flanged can which is liable to decline when stacked on a pallet, by transferring them sideways along a guide rail in the direction of canceling the declination as the pallet is descended step by step.
CONSTITUTION: Flanged cans are put one upon another on a pallet 4 which is descended step by step, being supported by a hoist arm 3. Since flanges of adjacent cans come in contact with each other, the cans stacked high are liable to decline forward as a whole. A guide rail 1 with its lower portion declined forward is set in a hoist room and shifted forward a little as the pallet 4 descends step by step. Each can fed from upside is put upon another, being shifted a little rearward, so that the forward declination of the stack is canceled to stand straight. The favorable declination of the guide rail 1 is about 40mm in case of 14-stack cans.
