Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable high speed rotation and to improve separation efficiency in a continuous centrifugal separator for blood etc. by attaching the midcourse of a fluid passage to a rotating device having a vibration absorber that pivots a rotating body allowing rotation and thereby enabling high speed rotation.
CONSTITUTION: Rotation of a driving device 18 is transmitted to a rotating device 8 through a transmission 16. By this rotation, a flexible rigid pipe 13 of a fluid passage is rotated. However, as one end of it is fixed to a cover 3, it is subjected to force in torsional direction and the middle part of the pipe 13 makes one reverse rotation to said rotation. As the middle part is supported to the rotating device 8 by a rotation supporting body 14, the lower segment 11b also makes the same rotation. Further, since one end is fixed to a rotating body 5, it rotates twice as quick as the rotating device 8. Vibration by rotation is absorbed by a vibration absorber 20. Accordingly, separated liquid is taken out by a slender pipe 12 that has no distortion.
