Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the manufacturing time of the heat pipe and to accelerate the conversion of an operation liquid into a gas phase by a method wherein a destructible vessel having the operation liquid sealed therein is burned within a pressure reduced metallic pipe serving as the heat pipe and the vessel is destructed.
CONSTITUTION: The operation liquid is sealed within the destructible vessel 10 like an ampoule pipe and the vessel is housed within the metallic pipe 11 whose one end is sealed. Then a pipe 12 having an exhaust tip is welded to the open end of the metallic pipe 11, the pressure in the pipe 11 is reduced and the exhaust tip of the pipe 12 is pinched off to thereby produce the heat pipe. The heat pipe thus produced is then applied with impact whereupon the operation liquid in the vessel 10 is destructed and the operation liquid 17 is received by the metallic pipe 11. As a result of the above operation, the conversion of the operation liquid from a liquid phase to a gas phase is accelerated since the destructed vessel 10 acts as boiling nuclide.
