Abstract
PURPOSE:To make easy the variation of directivity, by varying the path of reflection to the aperture of an ultrasonic wave transmitter/receiver, through the provision of an ultrasonic signal generating source having a reflector which can make position shift mechanically on the path of an ultrasonic wave signal. CONSTITUTION:A bell type reflector 11 is provided at a radiation section of a primary ultrasonic wave signal of a transducer 10 being a generating source of an ultrasonic wave signal, and this reflector 11 is mounted with a screw 11-1 or the like so that the reflector can be moved back and forth. A cone type reflector 12 is located around the reflector 11, which is inserted in a hole provided at the bottom of the cone type reflector 12 rotatably. The directivity of the ultrasonic wave signal from a transducer 10 can be changed into various characteristics, by varying a disstance (d) between a punch metal plate 13 of the aperture of the ultrasonic wave transmitter/receiver and the bottom of the reflector 12.
