Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a necessary positional accuracy for a high speed printing by communicating a detector and the rotating section of a cylinder holding device to an electromagnetic clutch and a pulse motor through a controller.
CONSTITUTION: An photoelectric detector 22 detects a detection mark of a bottle 14 to have a controller memorizing the angular position thereof. The bottle 14 continues to rotate and the rotation thereof is transmitted to a pulse motor 18 and the controller by way of gears 17 and 19 to stop the bottle 14 after rotation by 390°. The controller turns off an electromagnetic clutch 12 making the bottle 14 rotating free from a planetary gear 11 and simultaneously, the pulse motor 18 starts. The bottle 14 rotates by required angle according to the calculated value of the motor 18 and stops at the required angular position while it reaches the position P3 from the position P2. At the position P3, the electromagnetic clutch 12 is connected again to put the bottle 14 under the control of the planetary gear 11 rotated with a sun gear 7. The bottle 14 is mimeographed with normal or reverse rotation of the sun gear 7.
