Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover waste heat of corrosive gas with high efficiency and safely by filling a low-melting-point alloy at the inner side of a box provided in a path for waste corrosive gas generated in the nonferrous metal refining or the like, and arranging a heat transfer pipe in the alloy.
CONSTITUTION: A low-melting-point alloy 9 of a high heat transfer factor, a high boiling point, and a low steam pressure is filled between an outer box 1 and an inner box 4 arranged in a high-temperature corrosive fluid passage, and a heat transfer plate 7 having a large heat transfer factor is fitted to the inner box 4 and a pipe 8 for the heat transfer medium is penetrated through and fixed to the heat transfer plate 7. By the above construction, the heat of the corrosive gas is transmitted from an anti-corrosive material 3 to the heat transfer medium within the heat transfer pipe 8 through the outer box 1, low-melting point alloy 9, inner box 4 and heat transfer plate 7. By constructing the heat exchanger into a double structure wherein a substance having an excellent heat transfer factor is interposed, as described above, waste heat of the corrosive gas can be recovered, with high efficiency and safely.
