CONSTITUTION:An input aural signal (a) receives a level control to ensure nearly a constant input signal amplitude (d) to an FM modulator 7 through an AGC amplifier 2, a preemphasis circuit 4 plus an AGC detecting circuit 3 by which a gain control signal of the amplifier 2 is obtained. Thereafer, the output signal of an AGC circuit receives an FM modulation 7 to be recorded by a magnetic head 9 and through an LPF8. Accordingly the gain of the amplifier 2 is carried out by the control signal which is obtained by giving a wave detection an output signal amplitude (c) of the circuit 4. In such way, the deterioration is prevented for the input signal to the modulator 7.
