Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a highly accurate and safe concentration measurement under an explosion-proof condition without dehumidification, by a method wherein the condensation of the water vapor component is prevented by heating, the hydrogen concentration is measured from the torque ratio according to the gas densities before and after the removal of hydrogen gas and the gas flow rate, the oxygen concentration is measured from the sampled oxygen, and the like. CONSTITUTION:Owing to a heater 14 for application of heat, a temperature controller 15 and the like, the water vapor component in the sample gas introduced into a piping 2 is prevented from condensation. The gas densities before and after the hydrogen gas has been removed by a hydrogen gas remover 11 are converted into torques in converters 7 and 12, and the torque ratio is indicated on a torque ratio indicator 5 through levers 6 and 9 and the like. On the basis of said indicated value and the sample gas flow rate obtained by a flow rate controller 3, a hydrogen concentration analyzer 4 determines the hydrogen concentration. On the other hand, the oxygen concentration is measured by means of an oxygen gas sampler 13, an oxygen concentration measuring vessel 18, an oxygen concentration detector 17 and the like. In addition, the pressures at the necessary parts are regulated through pressure regulating valves 19a-19c. Thereby, without dehumidification, consequently, with an explosion-proof condition maintained, the hydrogen and oxygen and gas concentrations are measured safely and highly accurately.
