Abstract

PURPOSE:To make effective use of the quantity of heat of the tar in producer gas with a simple device by providing a cooling pipe within the upper fluidized bed forming area of a reaction furnace in dry distillation and gasification of waste materials. CONSTITUTION:Waste materials such as heavy duty oils are supplied from a raw material supply nozzle 7, and a gasifying material such as air, oxygen or steam is introduced into the 1st reaction part 4 in a fluidized bed reaction furnace 1 via a gasifying material supply nozzle 8, a window box 9 and a gas diffusion plate 2. A granular fluid medium such as sand is introduced into the furnace 1. In the part 4, the combustion and decomposition reaction of the raw materials take place, and part of the produced tar is fed as uncracked together with the cracked gas into the 2nd reaction part 5 past the multiple through-holes of a partition plate 3. Here, the temp. is maintained lower than in the part 4 by a cooling pipe 6 and therefore the tar condenses and sticks on the surfaces of the fluid medium. The stuck media and its aggregate pass through the pores of the plate 3 owing to mixing and diffusing effect and the increase in their own weight and move into the part 4, where the tar is decomposed.
