Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I.
USE: An insulating and/or dielectric synthetic oil. Useful as an insulating oil for capacitor.
PROCESS: The compound of formula I is prepared by reacting naphthalene with 3,3, 3-trifluoropropene in the presence of an acid catalyst (e.g. HF and BF3). The preferable reaction temperature in the batch process is 0W60°C when the catalyst is BF3 and 80W120°C when it is HF.
