Abstract
PURPOSE: To simply separate and recover a silver component by a method wherein a metal sulfide concentrate is subjected to friction grinding and subjected to floatation in the presence of ammonium phosphate.
CONSTITUTION: A metal sulfide concentrate, for example, an ore containing lead and zinc is ground and subjected to friction grinding to prepare a stock material. To the resultant stock material, a collecting agent such as conventionally used activated carbon, aerofloat or the like, a foaming agent or the like are added and, other than said material, ammonium phosphate is added and, after PH is adjusted, floatation treatment is carried out. Ammonium phosphate is added in an amount of about 500g/t against the stock material. When the floatation treatment for recovering a floated ore is carried out twice or more, a floated ore with a high silver content is obtained.
