Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the light heat insulating material having excellent heat insulating property by a method wherein chips obtained by crushing soft urethane foam are coated with a prepolymer, and polyester fibers are added to the chips and bonded and unified in a molding frame. CONSTITUTION:The scrups of the soft urethane foam are crushed to form the chips, and the prepolymer of soft urethane is uniformly atomized to the chips. The polyester fibers are mixed to the chips coated with the prepolymer, and agitated sufficiently. The mixture is housed in the molding frame, and compressed by means of a pressing plate while steam is pierced. Accordingly, adhesive strength is formed in the prepolymer while voids are buried through foaming and chips are bonded mutually and molded, the chips are removed from the molding frame and a product is obtained.
