Abstract

PURPOSE: To interchange ingot guide devices properly, quickly and easily according to casting sizes by guding each of plural dummy bars or plural ingots to the ingot support bodies which run curved or crooked respectively and independently.
CONSTITUTION: An ingot guide device stand 1 paralled in one piece with flask type frames 2 is placed freely slidably on a guide bed 4. The bed 4 is provided in the direcion intersecting perpendicularly with the casting line. Uppwer, lower guide roll paris 5 and side guide roll pairs 6 which guide, for example, two pieces of cast ingots are disposed to one frame 2 in a manner as to form ingot passage areas A, respectively. Upper, lower guide roll pairs 7 and side roll pairs 8 which differ in casting center, casting section and the number of casting pieces from the above- described upper, lower roll pairs 5 are mounted to the other frame 2 in a manner as to form ingot passage areas B, respectively.
