Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the intrusion of high-temperature fluid for avoiding the occurrence of thermal stress in a heat exchanger by using a structure in which a heat shield plate to be attached to a tubular plate supporting the heating pipe of the heat exchanger is divided in a specific directions to form steped parts on its end in such a way as to eliminate clearances between the adjacent heat shield plates.
CONSTITUTION: Heat shield plates 11 are usually attached to upper and lower tubular plates 4 and 8 having holes for plural heating pipes 9 of a heat exchanger and supporting the heating pipes 9 by means of a stud supporting metal 18, and spacers 16 hold between the heat shield plates 11 and between the heat shield plates 11 and the upper and lower tube plates 4 and 8. In this case, the heat shield plate 11 is divided into plural sections in circumferential and radial directions, and lapped steped part 21 are formed in such a way as to make the thickness the same as that of each divided piece on the end part where divided pieces are adjoined each other. And, the said metal 18 and a fixing tool 19 are provided on the steped part 21. Thus, the clearances between the adjacent heat shield plates 11 can be eliminated and their heat shielding effect can thus be raised.
