Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the density of organic substances as a whole in hot water to a value below a reference value by a method wherein a specific FRP material is used for a section of the tank exposed to the hot water and the ratio of the sectional area of that section with respect to the capacity of the hot water is made to have a specific value, in the captioned method for the water storage tank made of the FRP material.
CONSTITUTION: In the hot water storage tank made of the FRP material and used for a solar system, the section of the tank exposed to the hot water is made of the FRP material consisting of epoxy acrylate resin containing a diallyl phthalate monomer. Further, the ratio of the sectional area of the section of the tank exposed to the hot water with respect to the capacity of the hot water stored in the tank is kept at a value higher than 10cm2/cm2. Thus, when hot water or boiled water at temperatures of about 60W100°C is stored in the tank, the density of organic substances as a whole (the amount of consumption of COD and potassium permanganate) in the hot water can be kept at a value below a reference value of 10ppm.
