Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit configuration, by constituting so that a data showing all hues of 360 deg. portion can be obtained by changing the rank of a chroma level by a hue selective signal, a reference phase pulse, etc., from an ROM in which chroma levels of 180 deg. portion of hues. CONSTITUTION:Chroma levels of 4 sampling points of 180 deg. portion being 1/2 of hues selected by a hue selective signal from a terminal 101 are stored in ROMs 102-105, respectively, and hues of 180 deg. portion are selected by a sampling clock of 8 bits. Subsequently, a counter 108 to which the uppermost bit MSB of a hue selective signal, a sampling clock pulse 4fsc from a terminal 106, and a reference phase pulse from a terminal 107 have been supplied obtains a data showing all the hues of 360 deg. portion from a switching device 109 by changing the output rank of the chroma levels. Also, a digital color signal is outputted through a multiplier 111 for controlling the chroma saturation of said result. In this way, a digital chroma signal is generated by use of an ROM having a small memory capacity.
