Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of dropout, etc., by converting a center level part of an analog signal to a code having the most same polarity bits, in case when the analog signal is converted to a digital signal. CONSTITUTION:An analog sicnal is converted to a digital signal by use of a code 3 or 4, which has many same polarity bits such as 1111, 0000 in a center level part of the analog signal, and also decreases the number of codes having the same polarity in principle toward the upper and lower end levels. According to such encoding, even if dropout occurs and the code is varied to 1111, 0000, only the regenerative signal level is varied to a center level, and comparing with the case of natural binary encoding, no maximum nor minimum level is shown, and its influence is reduced.
