Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain the freshness of perishable foods, especially fish and shellfish, for a long time, by keeping the environmental temperatre at -1-+1 deg.C and the relative humidity at 60-100%. CONSTITUTION:The space in the cooling chamber 1 is cooled at -2-+2 deg.C by the bare tube cooler 17, and the heat medium path 9 surrouding the cooler box 2 is fed with the heat medium of 0--3 deg.C from the chiller tank 12 through the pipe 10. After the heat-exchange with the wall surface of the cooler box 2, the heat medium is recycled to the chiller tank 12 through the recovery pipe 13, and maintains, together with the actions of the flow-control or on-off valve 15, the temperature in the cooler box within the range of 0 deg.C+ or -1 deg.C. At the same time, the relative humidity in the cooler box is maintained at 60-100% by the ultrasonic humidifier 20 to preserve the perishable foods.
