Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a resource-saving type carbon dioxide gas laser which eliminates the decrease in the laser output by containing catalyst for accelerating the oxidative reaction of CO and an oxygen gas supply unit for supplying small amount of O2. CONSTITUTION:This gas laser contains catalyst for accelerating oxidative reaction of CO in CO+1/202 CO2 and an oxygen gas supply unit for supplying small amount of O2. For example, O2 gas reduced due to the discharge in a laser tube 1 is supplied from the oxygen gas supply unit 5 to a CO2 laser gas recirculating unit 4. In this manner a resource-saving laser with less laser output decrease can be obtained.
