Abstract

PURPOSE: To reuse the water formed in a system as far as possible by neutralizing strong acidic liquid with alkaline liquid contg. flyashes, and utilizing the neutralized water for sealing of a boiler and a slag tank.
CONSTITUTION: The strong acidic liquid used for cooling of waste gases in the desulfurization process for the waste gases of a coal firing boiler 1 is neutralized with alkaline liquid contg. flyashes, and this is joined with the makeup water W of a pipeline 46. This joined makeup water W is flowed into the channel part 60 of a slag tank 1a to hermetically hold the tank 1a. The overflowed makeup water flows into the pipeline 46b and is used for the next process. On the other hand, the makeup water W flowed into the pipeline 46c flows into the tank 1a, where it is stored. The fused unburned matter flows down in the boiler 1, is quickly cooled by the above-described storage water, collapses to particles of relatively small diameters and accumulates in the bottom part of the tank 1a as clinker.
