Abstract

PURPOSE:To monitor and inspect a power plant accurately in safety by taking images while oscillating one telecamera and by displaying its signals on a stereoscopic television receiver. CONSTITUTION:A remote operating vehicle 90 running in a nuclear reactor storate container 21 is equipped with telecamera 91 for stereoscopy in addition to a manipulator 92, etc. This camera is oscillated by an oscillation device by the distance between both the eyes of an operator 99. A left and a right picture signal obtained by the camera 91 are sent to and processed by a picture processing computer 97 and then the results are displayed on a stereoscopic television receiver 98 provided on a console panel 95. The operator 99 operates the operating vehicle 90 over a look at the picture on the receiver. Thus, an electric plant is monitored and inspected automatically, remotely and accurately in safety.
