Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent improper laser beam irradiation by generating an alarm when the frequency of execution counted exceeds the set upper limit of the irradiation as memorized. CONSTITUTION:The time per irradiation is set 17 to fix 21 the upper limit of the frequency. The value set for a switch 22 is memorized in a register 23. An irradiation switch 18 is closed and a unit 16 opens a shutter 15 for a set time to have a laser beam 12 entering a probe 14 through a lens 13. In response to the shutter, the irradiation frequency is counted 19 and compared 20 with the set frequency 21. When the set frequency is reached, an output is provided to actuate a switch 26 to work a buzzer through an oscillation amplifier 27. With this alarming, the operator completes one cycle of processing. For another processing, a reset switch 24 of a frequency setting circuit 21 is operated to reset a counter 19 and the register 23. Then, the irradiation frequency is set anew. This can prevent the irradiation by the laser properly.
