Abstract
PURPOSE:To retrieve the starting part of a desired initial recording program accurately and rapidly and to start normal reproduction at the retrieved part, by controlling the transporting speed of a reproducing srylus according to the position of the reproducing stylus on a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A lead-in switch 9 is so arranged that when a reproducing stylus 3 comes close to an initial program right after the start of recording, then the switch is turned on. While an address signal is reproduced, the reproducing stylus 3 position at another program recording part through the program search reproducing operation of the initial program is transported toward the outer circumference. When the lead-in switch 9 is turned on, the reproducing stylus 3 is transported successively toward the outer circumference at an intermediate speed and then when a lead-in signal is reproduced, the reproducing stylus 3 is transported toward the inner circumference at a lower speed than that in normal reproduction to detect the starting part of the initial program by the reproduced address signal, thereby starting the normal reproduction at the detected point in time.
