Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve usability by locking a shutter function when the focus is out and unlocking the same when the focus is in, so that the shutter is opened and closed automatically only when the focus is in. CONSTITUTION:The outputs of the photodetectors 6a, 6b of a distance measuring sensor 6 making the image of the exit pupil of a photographing lens are supplied to a comparator 7, which detects whether the focus is in or out. The output thereof is applied to a display circuit 9 and a shutter function circuit 8. When the focus is in, a transistor (TR)8b is turned off and a transistor (TR)16 is allowed to go on to drive an electromagnet 15 for driving shutter. When the focus is out, the TR8b is turned on and the TR16 is maintained in the state of off. Hence, the shutter is opened and closed automatically only at the in-focus, and this device when effectively used for various cameras improves their usability.
