Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a titled endscope usable for inspection of the inside of apparatus having sharp parts and the inside of apparatus having chemicals by providing freely removably a protecting pipe braided of fine metallic wires on the outside circumference of an insertion part covered with a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:The outside circumference of an insertion part 2 having flexibility is covered with a synthetic resin material, and the objective lens 3, image guide 4, light guide 5, etc. of an observation optical system are contained in the leading end thereof. Protecting pipe mounting parts 6-8 are respectively provided to the leading end part, root end part and intermediate part. A protecting pipe 9 braided of fine metallic wires to a hollow pipe shape is provided on the outside circumference of the part 2, and this is mounted freely removably by annular mounting parts 10- 12 corresponding to the parts 6-8. Hence, the pipe 9 is mounted at the time when the endscope is inserted into an engine or the like, and is removed at the time when it is inserted into a vessel for chemicals or the like, thus the endscope is effectively utilized for both.
