Abstract

PURPOSE:To make accurate leakage inspection, by a construction wherein a memory device is provided to store the output data from a sensor when inspection is started and further a comparator is provided to judge the difference between the stored sensor output and its output after the passage of a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:The electric output of a sensor 14 is, by a changeover switch 20 (for instance, an automatic electric changeover switch), sent to an output device 23 from a contact point 20a through a memory device 32 and a comparator 22 on the one hand, and to the comparator 22 from a contact point 20b via a buffer 24 on the other. Then the sensor output is applied to the comparator 22 through the buffer 24 and further compared with that applied from the memory device 21 at the time when inspection was started. If there is no leakage in a container under test, the sensor output passing through the contact points 20a, 20b is equal regardless of the time difference. If there is leakage in the container under test, the sensor output passing through the contact point 20b becomes larger, causing the comparator 22 to generate an output. Thus the existence of leakage can be judged accurately from the above output.
