Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve impact resistance and shock absorbing ability and provide for a broad application by placing a number of balls of two different sizes in an optional arrangement on the surface of a base plate, and thereby gradually dispersing and absorbing impact energy. CONSTITUTION:On the upper surface of a base plate 1, either of elastic or nonelastic material, air holes are provided with an optional arrangement, and in a likewise arrangement a number of large-sized balls 2 and small-sized balls 3 also. A porous material 5 is pasted 7 over the under surface of the base plate 1. Impact energy is gradually dispersed and absorbed by means of the above described balls 2, 3, and then remaining energy by the porous material 5. By the above correlated actions a satisfactory shock absorbing effect is provided. Ventilation is also provided by virture of air holes 4 and the porous material 5.
