Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the fitting of a tire and enhance safety in running, by alternately providing portions which have no humps and portions which have humps, on a rim of 1.85in. or less in width.
CONSTITUTION: Portions F with humps and portions E with no humps are alternately arranged so that the width G of a bead seat at the portions F with humps is larger than that P of a bead seat at the other portions E with no humps. As a result, the drop center width L2 of the portions F with humps is made smaller than thet L1 of the other portions E with no humps. To facilitate the fitting of a tire on a rim and that of the baad of the tire after the former fitting, it is necessary to make the widths L1, L2 large and their difference small. These conditions for the facilitation are taken into consideration to appropriately select the width of the humps.
