Abstract

PURPOSE:To regulate message transmission, by counting the residual message with each stored exchanger in a network and rejecting the message input when the count value is more than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When a transmission request from a terminal 3a to a terminal 3b exists, a packet exchanger 1a checks if the number of stored messages exceeds a prescribed value through a counter 4a. If exceeds, the transmission is rejected and if not, a message MES is stored in a reception storage device 2a to set the value of the counter 4a to +1. Next, the packet exchanger 1a picks up the message MES and transmits it to a packet exchanger 1b, which stores it in a storage device 2b and transmits it to the terminal 3b. When the transmission is finished, a transmission completion information ES is transmitted from the device 1b to the 1a, which subtracts the value of the counter 4a by one. Thus, the stored message number can be checked and the transmission can be regulated.
