Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately engrave patterns on a ceramic ware by performing sandblasting thereon, after performing masking on the part except the part to be worked by using a masking agent of thermoplastic synthetic resin.
CONSTITUTION: Masking resistance obtained by thermoplastic synthetic resin for sandblasting is formed using a printed or cut pattern on the engraved part of the work such as ceramic ware composed of compound layer with different hardness between the outer surface and the inside thereof. Thereafter, a variety of patterns are engraved in a variety of depth on the part corresponding to the printed or cut pattern by sandblasting. Further, the so-sandblasted concaved surfaces are coated by Metalicon or coating or the like and if necessary glazed, while fired and finished after the masking agent is removed, thereby the useful, ornamental or artistic value of the work, ceramic ware is remarkably raised.
