Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a fine finished working surface, by changing automatically a finishing allowance of a sparkout grinding according to a condition of abrasion and imparting adequade hours for the sparkout grinding.
CONSTITUTION: In an automatic inprocess definite size measuring apparatus changing in turn a motion of a working machine when a work is allowed to have a desired size by comparing a value measured successively in a size of the work during working with the set value of a setting instrument for a finishing allowance, the setting instrument is provided with a means correcting automatically the set value of the finishing allowance so as to cause actual working hours to come close to standard working hours by comparing the actual working hours with the standard working hours necessary for the working of the standard finishing allowance till the work is allowed to have a final finished size from stopping a cut-in motion of a tool. The standard working hours are set to optimum sparkout grinding hours.
