CONSTITUTION: A herbicidal composition containing a novel compound N-(α,α- dialkylbenzyl)phenylacetamide derivative expressed by the formula (X1 and X2 are halogen, 1W3C alkyl, 1W3C alkoxyl or H; R1 is 1W3C alkoxyl or H; R2 is 1W3C alkyl, 2W6C alkoxyalkyl, allyl or H; R3 and R4 are 1W4C alkyl; n is 1W3) and a pyrazolate herbicide, e.g. 4-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-1,3-dimethylpyrazol-5-yl-4- toluenesulfonate, as active constituents. The composition exhibits a remarkable synergistic effect.
