Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent cracking of a transparent plate by causing the peripheral wall of the outer box of a heat collector to directly receive an external force applied to the frame edge on the transparent plate.
CONSTITUTION: A horizontal placing member 3 is extended outwardly throughout the entire periphery on the upper end of the peripheral wall 2 of a heat collector outer box 1, and further a rising member 4 is extended upwardly throughout from the tip end of the extension of the horizontal placing member 3, and a connecting member 5 is extended outwardly from the upper end of the above rising member 4 throughout tne entire periphery. In order to mount the transparent plate 6 onto the upper surface opening of the outer box 1, the end part of the transparent plate 6 is placed on the horizontal placing member 3 through a buffering material 9, and the frame edge 7 is placed on the end part of the transparent plate 6, and connected to the connecting member 5 by means of a screw 10. By the procedure, the external force applied to the frame edge 7 is received by the peripheral wall 2 of the outer box 1, and hence there is no possibility that any crack occurs on the corner part of the end part of the transparent plate 6.
